The summer tour has come to an end so I wanted to do a brief recap for all those interested in hearing about it (this is probably just for you Mom.) We hit 13 states and 15 cities:
- Leesburg, Virginia
- Wilmington, North Carolina
- Baltimore, Maryland
- Boston, Massachusetts
- Atlanta, Georgia
- New Orleans, Louisiana
- Baton Rouge, Louisiana
- Montgomery, Alabama
- Little Rock, Arkansas
- Bentonville, Arkansas
- Dallas, Texas
- Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
- Vicksburg, Mississippi
- Orlando, Florida
- Nashville, Tennessee
It was not in that exact order, in all honesty the trip has become somewhat of a blur to me. Thousands of miles spent in a tiny Hyundai Elantra with 3 comics who are struggling to find a shower will do that to you.
I will answer some basic questions:
Best Show? Leesburg, Virginia at the Tally Ho Theater. Sold out crowd, beautiful venue, first show of the tour, couldn't ask for better.
Worst Show? Honestly, maybe there was a show or two that didn't have a great turnout but at the end of the day the people who were there enjoyed the show, so for that reason I will say every show was a success. Any time you do a full tour and don't have to cancel a single show, that's a win in my book.
Most eaten fast food? Taco Bell. That's a no brainer if you know me in the slightest bit you would have known that answer.
Most listened to song? Peanut Butter Jelly by Galantis. That drop though, it's unbeatable. Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran was a close second. I don't know why, but it happened and we can't change that.
There's so many more stories I wish I could share but I'm confident if I did people would end up in jail. I wish that was an exaggeration but it's not. We met some people who were bat shit crazy, and we met some people who were truly amazing. From the local comics to the local people, we had a great night every night. We had stalkers, I mean hell, is it even a tour without a good stalker?
We ended the trip in Orlando, Florida. We spent three days in Orlando. On the second day we went to Universal Studios, or as I like to call it, home. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is where I belong. It was my second time there and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The Butterbeer is amazing, the rides are amazing, and quite frankly it's my favorite place to waste money. 5 bucks for a bottle of Gillywater? Count me in.
All in all, myself and my tour mates had a blast. We got to see a good chunk of the country while doing shows for appreciative crowds. This isn't the last you'll hear of the Young Guns of Comedy tour. The Mid West is up next. Dates coming in the future. Thanks as always.
